Tell us how to reach you

Answered by 6pm, Mon–Sat. Then we call you to set up a free visit. The price comes once we have seen the spot.

Rather talk to a person? Call (506) 607-1850 or send a text.

The crew comes out to this address for a look before pricing the job.

One of the two is enough.

Add a note or a photo (optional)

The old deck, the yard, the building coming down — one picture is plenty.

Answered by 6pm, Mon–Sat.

We use these details only to price and book the job. They are stored on our server and sent to the owner through Discord, a US service. An excavation or property request also goes to the company named for that work. Privacy

Who comes out to your place

Send one request; we bring in the right crew and we call you back. Small jobs are quoted from a photo, big ones after we see the spot.

  • Property maintenance

Grovec Property Services — the owner answers

Mowing, cleanups, junk, gutters, pressure washing and snow, quoted in writing from a photo or the address. Answered by 6pm, Mon–Sat, usually without a visit.

  • Decks, renovations & demolition

Our build crew — they quote in person

Decks, fences, pergolas and sheds, garden beds and hedges, and interior renovations. We also take down what is in the way: a shed, a wall, an old deck, an overgrown shrub. Draw it in the steps above and the crew sees exactly what you have in mind.

  • Excavation, levelling & building demolition

    Byron Ackroyed's Excavation

Whole buildings down and hauled away, lots levelled and filled, ground opened for a foundation or a drain. The heavy work, with the equipment it takes.

  • Property management & real estate

Arctic Owl Property Management and Skyhigh Real Estate

Rentals looked after, turnovers handled, and the maintenance on this site rolled into one arrangement. If you are buying or selling, the same people.

See the small jobs we do.

Common questions

Is the list of materials a price?

No. It is the wood, the concrete footings the posts stand on, and the hardware the build you drew would take, counted the way a carpenter counts: a joist, the board the floor sits on, every 16 inches; a post every 6 or 8 feet; steps under 7-7/8 inches tall. We give you the price after we see your yard, because the ground, the way in and the house wall all change it.

Who actually does the work?

Grovec Property Services takes every request and does the mowing, cleanups and other small jobs itself. Decks, fences, sheds, renovations and small demolition go to our build crew. Taking down buildings, digging and levelling go to Byron Ackroyed's Excavation. Rentals and real estate go to Arctic Owl Property Management and Skyhigh Real Estate. One form, and we are the ones who call you back.

Do I need an account?

Not to send a request, and not to print or download the list. A free account keeps the designs you draw so you can come back to them, and lets us email you the list. Nothing you save is shared with anyone but the crew we send out.

Do I need a permit for a deck in Saint John?

Usually, yes. The City of Saint John asks for a building permit for most decks, and any deck more than 24 inches off the ground needs a railing. We tell you what applies to yours when we visit.
